Sapphire International School with its beautifully landscaped campus and energy conscious buildings, fields and ponds compliment and enhance the serenity of nature. Located less than 15 kms from Ranchi airport, Sapphire International School is a coeducational, English medium, day boarding and residential school.

Smart Classrooms

The Criterion for acceptance into the school is the basic willingness to put in the effort to achieve full potential, not only high innate ability.
The SIS Academic Monitoring System allows the student progress to be closely and continuously monitored through the class works, assignments, project works and the periodic exams. Thus any remedial action if and when needed, is tailored to the specific needs of the individuals.
The students’ learning needs are initially identified through individual teacher assessments, student progress meetings, a learning specialist administrator or parental queries. Once a problem is identified, we at SIS evaluate the possible learning issues and identify in-class learning support strategies, aided by the unique teaching aids and methodologies. Also, additional learning support like in-house preparatory classes for boarders, and special weekend classes, after-school supervised classes, Learning Lab with Smart Class facilities, are also provided.

Security

The importance of security personnel is fully appreciated in maintaining a safe and carefree environment for the students. Security personnel belonging to a reputed agency are deployed all over the campus on a full time basis and the entry / exit of all members of the school as well as visitors is strictly regulated and constantly monitored. The CCTV cameras have been put everywhere in the campus which are being monitored by the administrators and the IT department.

Pastoral Care

“Home away from home” is how the students living on campus feel during their Sapphire days. The hostels have been specifically designed to provide a warm and caring family-like environment. There are separate hostels for the boys and the girls and all the rooms are air-conditioned accommodating three students with all amenities and attached washrooms giving a feeling of warmth yet maintaining privacy. Beside wing parent, the hostel warden and the supervisor are responsible for maintaining the sanitaion hygiene and keeping the dorm comfortable at all times. Utmost care is taken to provide our boarders to be in a safe, warm and caring environment in the campus.
The entire hostel of Sapphire has been divided into ‘Wings’ and the Wing Parents take care of their own respective wings. A particular wing has a maximum capacity of 22 children.
There are wardens in both the girls’ and the boys’ hostels. Both the hostels are monitored by the Head of The Boarding. Every month a regular stage performance is ensured for all children when they attend the Principal’s dinner. During such an event, the children perform various stage shows like songs, dances, poetry, drama, recitals and many more. It helps the children to overcome stage fright and helps to build their confidence level.
Although the school remains closed on all of the major festivals, the festivals in which they do not go home are celebrated here in the hostel.The festivals like Raksha-bandhan, Janmasthami, Saraswati puja , to name a few, are celebrated here with respect and fervour.

Leadership Skill Our leadership programmes at SIS are rooted in a strong commitment to support students in their ongoing development as leaders. We inculcate leadership qualities in the students, by allowing them to take the lead in various activities and projects.
